Vacuum Infusion is a technique that uses vacuum pressure to drive resin into a laminate. Dry materials are laid into the mold and the vacuum pressure is applied before resin is introduced. Once a vacuum is achieved, resin is forced into the laminate via vacuum tubing. The vacuum infusion process offers a better fiber-to-resin ratio than hand lay-up or vacuum bagging.

Fibre Glast’s Mix & Pour Foam is great for floatation applications, but it can also be used for sculpting a mold or plug. #24/25 Mix & Pour Foam is a two-part, expanding foam. It is a 2lb/cu. ft density, closed-cell foam system that can easily be cut or sanded. This makes it ideal to easily shape and form your plug*. When fully cured, this polyurethane foam is completely rigid. The cured foam can be sculpted with saws, knives, or sanding tools.
